It’s here: the first episode of The Weird Library! “Black Shuck Tavern”: Working nights at a club, a young woman grapples with eerie deja vu whenever a massive black dog appears. Whispers of "Black Shuck" swirl around, fueled by her boss's conviction. Is it folklore, or something more tangible? Listen on YouTube or Spotify, or download the audio here. Are you in perimenopause?
| How would you know? What can do about it... Perimenopause can cause over 50 different symptoms ranging from fatigue, brain fog and anxiety to weight gain, heavy periods and headaches. Most women don't know they are in perimenopause when it's happening because the symptoms start slow and subtle but eventually build up to the point where they are ruining your day, every day. Plus, many women over 40 feel dismissed by their doctors who aren't listening to them or providing them the solutions they need (and here's the kicker - it's not your doctor's fault, less than 20% of medical schools even talk about perimenopause!). But it doesn't have to (and shouldn't) be that way! You can have a better mood, feel more energetic and sleep through the night...even if you are a woman over 40. Perimenopause describes the years leading up to menopause, the hormone shifts that occur during these years and the related symptoms - mood changes, weight gain, headaches, inflammation, bloating and much more. Because perimenopause can cause symptoms in almost every part of your body, a whole body-mind and holistic approach works best - that's also why "regular doctors" won't touch it with a ten foot pole! I designed my Hormone Harmony Bootcamp just for women like you - get the answers about perimenopause, solutions that really work and advice I usually give my patients while working with them for 6 months...all within 6 weeks! The Hormone Harmony Bootcamp includes:

[Blog] Winter Weather Protein Shake Recipes
Baby, it's cold outside… But that doesn't mean the healthy habits you've developed over the year get tossed aside, , especially your morning protein shake. I admit, as the weather gets colder and mornings are a bit darker, I'm not craving my usual spinach and frozen pineapple breakfast shake but I do have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep my plant based protein intake up in the colder months. My first trick is to have my protein shake in the afternoon between 3-5pm when I'm craving a snack, the weather's warmer and the sun's usually shining. My second trick is to shift my recipes to use less frozen fruit and include warming spices - ginger, cinnamon, cayenne. But before we get into the recipes (Pumpkin Spice, Black Forest and Winter Farmstand smoothies) let's look at why you should be having a daily protein shake all year round in my latest blog post.
